federal and MO-PTC forms.
Office Assistant: Answer phones,
maintain files, work on computers, help
with mailings.
Community Outreach: Represent CORP at
community festivals and fairs.

MISSOURI PROPERTY TAX CREDIT CLAIM
MO-PTC “Circuit Breaker”
Partial refund (by check) of paid real estate taxes
up to a maximum of $1,100 for owners, $750 for
renters who rent from a facility that pays
property taxes. Eligible nursing home residents
may file as renters.
To qualify for the program, you or your spouse
must meet one of the following criteria:
• 65 or older as of 12/31/2022 and a Missouri
resident the entire year; OR
• 100 percent disabled; OR
• 60 as of 12/31/2022 and receiving surviving
spouse social security benefits.
Annual Income Limit
Single:
$27,200 if rented or owned less than full year;
$30,000 if owned & occupied entire year.
Married and filing combined:
$29,200 if rented or owned less than full year;
$34,000 if owned & occupied full year.
The MO-PTC is generally filed with the income tax
return, but may be filed at any time during the
year for up to three years back.
Example:
In 2024 you may file for 2021, 2022 & 2023.
2020 claims must be filed by May 17, 2024.
The State of Missouri is the sole program
administrator of the MO-PTC.

COUNTY OLDER RESIDENT PROGRAMS
(CORP)
Provides a variety of programs, services and
volunteer opportunities for St. Louis County
residents age 60 and older.
Neighbor Driving Neighbor: Volunteers use their
own vehicles to transport older adults to medical
appointments and other essential business.
Care Calls: Volunteers call homebound older
adults regularly to check on their well-being or
visit them in their home.
Tax Preparation: Trained volunteers prepare
state and federal tax forms in season; year-round
assistance with filing for the MO-PTC.
Home Care and Repair: CORP works with home
care and repair services experienced workers who
are approved through a background record check.
Services include minor home repair jobs and
homemaker/chore services.
Information & Referral: Trained staff provide
information about other community resources
available to seniors and make appropriate
referrals to the service providers.
